the Department organizes multiple events for the general public around Sport and the Olympic Games to promote the territory. Among them, several sports initiation villages, the Côte-d'Or Youth Games and of course the passage of the Flame in 2024!
"The Games were a dream, but now they have become a goal! Objective reached for Tokyo, and to be reached for Paris, with the selections which will be spread out between May 2023 and June 2024. I am training intensely for that, in Dijon but also during but also during training courses, in particular in Monte Gordo in Portugal. The Olympic Games are the biggest multi-sport event in the world event in the world, the Holy Grail for all athletes! My wish is that the Olympic days planned in Côte- d'Or allow to promote the sport to promote sport, to make young people practice a little too focused on their screens!

"These will be my third Olympic Games, but these will be at home, in France ! I see them as an apotheosis in my sporting career! Especially since my goal is clear: gold! that my objective is clear: gold! These Games are an opportunity to remind people that sport is a vector of inclusion, that we can succeed and surpass ourselves even in a situation of disability. To show also that we can succeed at the highest level, here in Côte-d'Or. And finally, to make young people want young people to take up sport.

« Léa Ferney qualified for the Paralympic 2024 Paralympic Games, this is a huge honor for our club. She is a local girl, she grew up in the grown up in the club. She herself is on a small cloud: to participate in the Olympics in Paris, after having won the gold medal at the world championships championships in Granada in November, is exceptional - and that makes her the the favorite. The time has come to communicate as much as possible about the the Games and to promote our clubs and our clubs and athletes, whether they are able-bodied or disabled".
